Job description

Job Title: Commercial Accountant

Location: near Sevenoaks, Kent

Contract/Perm: Ultimately this is a permanent position. Options to be either Temp to Perm, Contract to Perm or straight Permanent

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), no weekend or out of hours work required

Hybrid: 4 days in, 1 day wfh

Salary: Permanent role: Up to £40,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits

Salary: Contract / Temp: circa £200 / day

About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Accountant to join their finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate management accounts, supporting key business decisions, and driving continuous improvement across processes. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide timely financial insights and maintain robust systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate and timely management information.
  • Handle rebate accounting and reconciliation for multiple regions.
  • Act as accountant for marketing and product management functions.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for marketing, promotions, projects and rebates.
  • Support business decision-making with financial analysis and advice.
  • Manage rebate and agent commission processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist with confidential corporate projects and other ad hoc duties.
