Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a chartered independent insurance brokerage.

Although quite rare, this job opening involves inheriting a book of existing clients; the portfolio will be made up of predominately general commercial clients, varying is size and technical complexity.

As well as client servicing you will be working to increase your client portfolio via new business production, mainly from referrals and recommendations + you will have access to a number of excellent channels providing quality leads. There will be no expectation to be involved in cold calling.

You will be assisted by a team of account handlers, placing brokers and general administrators and will have access to the open market, numerous exclusive Lloyd’s facilities and the wider market via major network membership.

Ideal applicants will have a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance, client facing experience and previous use of Acturis. Ideally you will be a smart, professional and client focused individual with excellent communication skills.

Although this role is currently being offered at account executive level, there are genuine opportunities to advance into a more senior position quite quickly.

Progress towards CII qualification is preferred and will be fully supported both financially and in terms of study support.
