A local government authority in Blantyre is seeking a Primary Pool Janitor for a temporary position until March 2026. You will be responsible for cleaning facilities, preparing documentation related to janitorial functions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The role involves liaising with management and external contractors. This is a part-time position requiring 22.5 hours weekly. The hourly rate is between £14.02 and £14.33 and includes various employee benefits.
This post is temporary until 31 March 2026.
We are looking to recruit a Primary Pool Janitor to join our Facilities team within the Hamilton and Blantyre area.
You will be responsible for the preparation of all documentation relating to the Janitorial and Cleaning function within the premises. Duties also include carrying out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls etc.
You will also be required to monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulations, reporting any difficult issues to management.
Location: Primary Schools within the Hamilton and Blantyre area
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Work Pattern: Monday - Wednesday 7.30am - 4pm
Hourly Rate: £14.02 - £14.33 per hour
