Colorectal Advance Nurse Practitioner/CNS
London: The Princess Grace Hospital, London
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Friday

We are recruiting an experienced Colorectal ANP/CNS to join our major Colorectal Surgical Centre at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.

The Princess Grace Hospital is a centre of excellence for the complex care of digestive diseases. This role involves providing bespoke, patient- and family-centred care from pre-assessment to aftercare, working closely with colorectal surgeons and collaborating with other HCA facilities.

As a senior team member, experience and knowledge in colorectal nursing are essential. The CNS/ANP supports cancer care by providing specialized support for colorectal cancer patients throughout their treatment, maintaining continuity of care, managing complex cases, and improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a caseload of inpatients/clients, reviewing them daily.
  2. Requesting and interpreting investigatory results, including radiological investigations.
  3. Providing clinical and social support to patients and families.
  4. Establishing clear communication within the multidisciplinary team.
  5. Linking with healthcare teams to facilitate community care.
  6. Participating in the fortnightly Colorectal MDT meeting.
  7. Supporting the development of the colorectal cancer service and delivering a holistic, evidence-based nurse-led service.

The role requires autonomous working, effective time management, and a commitment to education and mentoring junior staff. The post-holder will support service evaluation and quality standards, ensuring seamless patient care within a multidisciplinary framework.
