College Administrator and Exams Invigilator (Part-Time)

Westminster Tutors Independent Sixth Form, South Kensington

£15.00-£16.50 per hour depending on experience

18-24 hours per week

On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, late morning/early afternoon until 18:00

(There is potentially some flexibility on the three days per week).

Westminster Tutors is one of London's leading independent sixth form colleges, known for exceptional academic and pastoral support. We are seeking a reliable and well‑organised College Administrator and Exams Invigilator to join our small and friendly team.

This is a part‑time, on‑site role working 18‑24 hours per week across three days, at the moment across Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The role closes the College at 18:00. While this forms the core working pattern, there may be limited flexibility across the three working days where operationally appropriate. Additional paid hours may also be available during key exam periods.

The role combines general administrative support with examination invigilation and would suit someone who enjoys varied responsibilities, is confident in a student‑facing environment, and takes pride in maintaining a professional and welcoming office.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

  • Provide a warm and professional reception for students, parents, teachers, and visitors.
  • Handle enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Maintain student records and files in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of documents, letters, and routine communications.
  • Support with meeting arrangements, scheduling, and general office organisation.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and presentation of the office and shared areas.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and report maintenance or safeguarding concerns promptly.

Exams Invigilation

  • Prepare exam rooms in line with JCQ requirements, including seating plans and materials.
  • Invigilate exams to ensure fairness, calmness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the secure handling, distribution, and collection of exam papers.
  • Report any irregularities or concerns immediately to the Exams Officer.
