Job description

The Colleague Experience and Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a distinctive, branded colleague experience that reflects Allwyn’s culture, values, and ambition.

Reporting into the Head of Workplace & Experience, this role will design and embed strategies, programmes, and initiatives that foster engagement, performance, and belonging across our organisation. You’ll ensure that every stage of the colleague journey — from onboarding to recognition — is thoughtfully crafted to drive productivity, pride, and purpose.

You’ll also be responsible for creating and managing a robust framework for delivering impactful office-based events (in conjunction with our in-house events team) that reflect the experience we want to create across our hubs, collaborating with our community’s and ensuring in office experiences consistently bring our values to life and connect colleagues to our mission and strategy.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver a cohesive colleague experience strategy that aligns with Allwyn’s brand, values, and cultural goals.
  • Partner with People & Places, Internal Comms, and other key teams to ensure consistent, inclusive and engaging touchpoints across the colleague lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that enhance engagement, connection, and performance — driving measurable improvements in colleague sentiment and productivity.
  • Develop and implement a colleague listening strategy with an overarching framework that captures colleague sentiment and engagement metrics at moments that matter throughout the colleague journey.
  • Own the plan and roll out of annual engagement surveys as well as pulse surveys, collaborating with People BPs and Leadership to bring together one holistic plan re engagement linked to our priorities to drive growth and double returns to good causes.
  • Introduce additional innovative solutions to help capture colleague sentiment in a meaningful in the moment way – utilising digital quick feedback tools that supplement surveys and create impact.
  • Partner with Leaders and People BPs to create action plans based on feedback insights. Facilitate colleague listening groups and focus sessions.
  • Collaborate with Internal Communications to develop clear and engaging content and embed a “you said, we did” type campaign throughout the year.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on engagement trends, best practice and colleague sentiment.
  • Champion colleague voice through Your Forum — using feedback, insights, and data to continuously evolve the experience and strengthen engagement. Collaborate with Your Forum on solutions and innovations to drive growth.
  • Utilize data (e.g., engagement surveys, exit interviews) to identify trends and partner with the business partner function to ensure that engagement plans are focussed on the areas that will drive growth and create a great colleague experience.
  • Build and manage a programme of engagement activities and initiatives across all locations, including home and remote. Drive forward a sense of connection & belonging across all of Allwyn hubs.
  • Collaborate with the People & Places teams, Communities, Internal Comms and other key stakeholder groups to create a calendar of colleague experience moments for the year ahead to ensure the business is aware of what’s coming and how we get them excited. This to include a program of office pop ups- delivering on the “shock” factor and creating “FOMO”.
  • Curate colleague moments in conjunction with the events team that are inclusive, on-brand, and aligned to strategic business priorities – connecting our people and our hubs.
  • Manage budgets, logistics, and vendor relationships to ensure smooth, high-quality delivery.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, embedding Allwyn’s values in everyday experiences and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leaders and teams in partnership with internal comms to bring our culture to life through storytelling, rituals, and recognition moments.
  • Support the Head of Workplace and Experience in building a workplace that inspires connection, belonging, and innovation.
  • Deputise for the Head of Workplace and Experience as required with an overall objective of transforming the Places function from a “facilities” mindset in the organisation to one of colleague experience instead.
