Job description

Are you a talented and committed GK Coach who would like the opportunity to support the Colchester United Women’s Team? If you’re a GK Coach with experience and/or passion for the female game alongside working in senior women’s football, this is an opportunity for you. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious football coach to join our Women’s Coaching Team and become one of the leading figures at the top of our women’s Pathway.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver GK training sessions in collaboration with the Colchester United Women’s Team Committee, Head Coach and other Coaching Staff.
  • Manage players, support recruitment and contribute on matchdays.
  • Contribute to Matchday Programme, fan engagement and club engagements as required.
  • Be a leader who inspires and motivates people on and off the pitch, with tenacity and creativity to overcome obstacles.
  • Attend to time commitments and travel to venues as required, including Training at Wednesday End Community and Sports Centre, Colchester (CO2 9BG) and Matchdays at Home Garrison, Colchester (CO2 7SZ) and away across the Eastern Region Division 1.
  • Develop positive and effective relationships with colleagues, volunteers, players, committee members and supporters on and off the pitch.
  • Deliver a high-quality coaching and matchday experience for goalkeepers.
  • Support recruitment, development and increased engagement of goalkeepers toward individual and collective KPIs.
  • Support in maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive team culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, players and committee members to maximise impact and development of first team GK s and the team in realising its potential.
  • Evaluate development and the impact of coaching through individual learning plans (ILPs) and showcase success.
