Role - Coating inspector role
Location - Based close to Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours - Monday to Friday - Full time hours
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Capacity of role - Permanent position
Overview
Our client is a leading manufacturer who is looking for a Coating Inspector to join their busy workshop team. Candidates will have ideally worked in a similar position.
Responsibilities
- To support industrial coating quality control on new work scopes.
- Conducting thorough inspections of coatings applied to various components, structural steel, pipes etc.
- Assessing coating quality, adhesion, thickness, and overall condition.
- Identifying and document any defects or non-conformities.
- Monitoring and ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
- Review and approve inspection reports and test results.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and quality control measures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams regarding coating selection, application methods, and quality control procedures.
Candidate Attributes
- NACE Level 2 (or equivalent) Coating Inspector certification
- Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
