Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a CNC Turner with Fanuc programming experience to operate CNC turning machines in a high-quality aerospace and nuclear manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, manual machining experience, and a disciplined approach to paperwork. This full-time position offers a salary between £35,000 and £38,000 per annum depending on experience, based in Hurn, England.

Qualifications

  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge of modern CNC machine tools.
  • Fanuc control experience essential (programming, setting & operating).
  • Proven experience machining aluminium and stainless steel.
  • Manual machining experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Competent using precision measuring equipment.
  • Adaptable to machining special or bespoke components.
  • Disciplined approach to paperwork in line.

Responsibilities

  • Programming, setting, and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.
  • Producing components ranging from one-offs to medium batch quantities.
  • Working with materials including aluminium and stainless steel.

Overview

CNC Turner (Fanuc) – Location: Christchurch, Dorset – Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience). Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:45 - 16:15; Friday 07:45 - 12:45. Flexitime for earlier starts.

The Role

Our client is currently recruiting a fully skilled CNC Turner with Fanuc programming experience to set and operate our CNC turning machines in a high-quality aerospace and nuclear manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, producing components ranging from one-offs to medium batch quantities.
  • Work with materials including aluminium and stainless steel, with parts ranging from simple to highly complex precision components.
