CNC Turner (Fanuc) – Aerospace (AS9100) – 4-Day Week (Days) – Hayes

Salary : £37,500 – £55,000 per annum

Hours : Days only | 4-day working week

Industry : Aerospace Subcontract Manufacturing (AS9100)

I am recruiting on behalf of an AS9100-accredited aerospace subcontractor based in Hayes, who are looking to appoint a CNC Turner due to continued growth and a strong, long-term aerospace order book. The business operates a modern, well-invested machine shop with state‑of‑the‑art CNC turning technology and a quality‑led engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC turning centres / lathes using Fanuc controls
  • Manufacture precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
  • Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications
  • Tooling selection, offsets, and proving out jobs (dependent on experience)
  • Carry out in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, etc.
  • Adhere to AS9100 procedures, documentation, and full traceability requirements
  • Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and safe working practices
Essential Experience
  • Proven CNC turning experience within aerospace or a similar high‑precision environment
  • Strong proficiency withimore Fanuc control systems
  • Competent reading technical drawings and working to fine tolerances
  • Quality‑first mindset with strong attention to detail
Desirable (Advantageous)
  • Multi‑axis turning experience (or capability / interest to progress onto multi‑axis machines)
  • Experience working within AS9100 / ISO‑controlled manufacturing environments
