Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a CNC Prismatic Machining Technician for a Monday to Thursday night shift in Royal Leamington Spa. The Technician will work within a team to deliver high-quality components, primarily for motorsport and aerospace sectors. Key responsibilities include producing components from technical specifications, operating CNC machinery, and maintaining quality standards. A proactive and innovative mindset is essential, along with a willingness to work overtime. The role is available on a contractual or permanent basis and offers competitive pay.

Role: CNC Prismatic Machining Technician (Monday - Thursday Night Shift)

Contract Type: Contract or Permanent

Location: Leamington Spa

Salary: £17.92 per hour plus 20% shift allowance

The Role

We are seeking a CNC Prismatic Machining Technician, to increase our capability / capacity in this area.

This role involves working in a small team to deliver high quality transmission components, mainly for the motorsport / aerospace industries, with a right first-time philosophy. You will be supported by our EdgeCam and Delcam offline programming, as well as your team leader.

Key Competencies and Experience
  • Proven ability to produce components from technical drawings and planning route cards to a high standard, working to tight tolerances and within routed timeframes
  • Strong experience machining a variety of materials on 4- and 5-axis CNC machines
  • Proficient in reading and understanding Fanuc/ISO programming machine code; capable of on-machine programming with support from offline programmers
  • Able to read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, including adjusting speeds and feeds as required
  • Skilled in using measuring equipment to inspect parts against planning and drawing specifications
  • Able to deburr and fettle components during production to meet required standards
  • Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to team support, problem solving, and continuous improvement
  • Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing operations
  • Willingness to work overtime and operate multiple machines to meet KPIs and delivery deadlines
  • Knowledge of wire erosion is advantageous but not essential
