A well-established manufacturing company in Birmingham seeks a CNC Miller Setter Programmer. Qualifications

  • Several years' experience of programming Fanuc VMC's in a wide range of materials.
  • Desirable knowledge in turning and Mazatrol.
  • Desirable exposure to CAD/CAM.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CNC team with daily tasks.
  • Work as a hands-on machinist on Fanuc or Mazak VMCs.
  • Provide absence cover where required.
  • Carry out TPM / PPM activities.
  • Program online at the control.
  • Prove out and work on lean or 5S projects.

Skills

Extensive experience in setting and running CNC machines
Ability to read drawings including GD&T symbols
A flexible and 'can do' attitude
Mazatrol Experience
Turning knowledge
Exposure to CAD / CAM
Competency with MS Excel, Word
CMM operating

CNC Miller Setter Programmer

Location: Birmingham

Salary - £14.50 - £18.50 per hour

Full time hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 07.30-16.00, Friday 07.30-12.30, though some flexibility is to be expected.

Job Description

The company is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham and due to current growth, are now looking to recruit for the position of a CNC Miller Setter Programmer.

The successful applicant will be based at the production facility in Birmingham.

The Role
  • As part of a larger strategy to increase productivity across the business, the company are looking to add a skilled and flexible machinist to their team, who\'s role will be to support the incumbent CNC team with all aspects of their daily tasks as required, while also supporting the Manufacturing Engineers with lean and 5s projects.
  • Working as a hands-on machinist on either Fanuc or Mazak VMCs
  • Providing absence cover where required.
  • Carrying out TPM / PPM activities
  • Programming online at the control
  • Proving Out.
  • Working on lean or 5S projects.

This role would suit somebody with several years\' experience of programming Fanuc VMC\'s, in a wide range of materials, any turning or Mazatrol knowledge will be a bonus.
