Job summary

A precision engineering company in Hinckley is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter Operator to work with advanced 5-axis CNC Milling machines. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ CNC Milling experience, be self-motivated, and have strong technical literacy. Responsibilities include setting and operating machines, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring quality assurance. This role offers competitive pay and a rotating 4-day working week.

Job description
CNC Miller Setter Operator

Salary: £16.77 per hour + £564.60 monthly shift allowance - £20.29 per hour

Hours: 37 per week (4-day working week, rotating fortnightly shifts)

Holidays: 26 days including bank holidays

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter Operator to join a busy precision engineering environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist to work with advanced 5-axis CNC Milling machines, producing high-quality components to exacting customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating and setting 5-axis CNC Milling machines
  • Working with Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Tool setting and program editing
  • Inspecting own work using precision measurement equipment
  • Performing basic machine maintenance (TPM)
  • Maintaining a safe, organised workspace to 5S standards
  • Raising Process Improvement Requests (PIRs) where required
  • Handling components, jigs, and fixtures safely
  • Working independently and reporting to supervision
Candidate Requirements
