Job description

We are working with a reputable client based in Luton (LU3) who require a CNC Miller Programmer / Setter Operator to join their team.

The position is a permanent role paying £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Working Hours :

Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm or 8am - 6pm (40 hours per week)

28 days holiday (including bank holidays) + Peoples Pension.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working within an engineering environment. The right candidate will have excellent CNC programming and setting experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for programming and setting up to 5 axis machinery
  • Reading and interpreting technical information
  • Writing programmes from scratch using G and M codes (online and offline)
  • Familiar with managing and operating Fanuc controls
  • Producing components to tight tolerances
  • Ability to use a range of precision measuring instruments
  • Quality checking components
  • Other general duties when required
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role
  • Must be PC literate
  • Excellent attention to detail
