Job Title: CNC Milling Programmer – Late Shift
Location: Havant, UK
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Late Shift
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 14:30 – 22:30 (½ hour lunch)
Friday: 12:30 – 20:00

A well-established and forward-thinking engineering company, operating at the forefront of marine and industrial manufacturing technologies, is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to join its dynamic team on the late shift. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist with strong Heidenhain programming skills and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Operate CNC milling machinery with a hands-on and safety-first approach
⦁ Program and adjust Heidenhain controls to meet production requirements
⦁ Maintain a clean and organised working area in line with 5S principles
⦁ Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
⦁ Work to defined process times and quality standards
⦁ Collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives
⦁ Support cross-training activities and assist in developing team capability
⦁ Flexibly support other machining disciplines when needed

Requirements
⦁ Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent engineering background
⦁ Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
⦁ Minimum 5 years’ CNC programming experience using Heidenhain controls
⦁ Proficient in modern cutting tools and machining practices
⦁ Comfortable working with various materials including Inconel, aluminium bronze, cast iron, duplex, and stainless steel
⦁ Familiar with both milling and turning techniques
⦁ Experience handling composite materials is an advantage
⦁ Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
⦁ Working knowledge of CI/Lean practices (e.g., 5S, 7 Wastes)
⦁ Strong communication skills at all business levels
⦁ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
