Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter / Operator to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining our long tradition of supplying quality products to a diverse client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, ensuring high standards are met for both small and large batch sizes of high-value components.

Day-to-day of the role
  • Setting and running HAAS CNC mills and Multi Axis CNC lathes.
  • Operating XYZ Prototrak controls.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and applying these to machined components.
  • Ensuring quality control and meeting production deadlines.
  • Working with various batch sizes, maintaining precision on high-value components.
  • Self-managing projects to meet customer-specific deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ/Diploma/BTEC in engineering.
  • Experience in setting and running HAAS CNC mills and Multi Axis CNC lathes is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with XYZ Prototrak controls is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
