CNC Miller - Afternoon Shift

Salary: £43,000 - £47,000

Location: Newport Pagnell, Bucks

Hours: Monday to Friday (Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm & Friday 1pm - 8pm)

Start Date: ASAP

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Syntech Recruitment are currently working with an precision engineering company based in Newport Pagnell that specialises in manufacturing high-precision CNC milled and turned components from solid and cast materials in a wide range of metals and plastics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a range of 3- and 5-axis CNC machine centres (Setter/Operator).
• Machining across metals and plastics in a fast-paced precision engineering and prototype environment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and perform in-process dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measurement equipment.
• Provide clear and concise feedback to operators and engineers.
• Operate multiple machines when required to meet deadlines.
• Work efficiently to deadlines and ensure quality in production.

Requirements

• Experience as a Setter/Operator across a range of 3- and 5-axis CNC machine centres, ideally within a fast-paced precision engineering and prototype environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Heidenhain, Hurco, or Mazatrol controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and perform in-process dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measurement equipment.
• Experience in machining a variety of metals and plastics.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback to operators and engineers.
• Ability to work efficiently to deadlines.
• Willingness to operate multiple machines when required.
