Job Overview

TE Connectivity's CNC Machinists prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerical controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

About the role
  • Set up and operate CNC sliding head lathes, including installation and adjustment of collets, tooling, spindle liners, and bar feeders.
  • Making necessary adjustments to programs where required.
  • Ensure components meet specifications in accordance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.
  • Record daily operations and contribute to operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) tracking.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean tools and methods from the TEOA site plan.
  • Maintain and improve time standards and ensure daily maintenance is completed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Support ad-hoc tasks and reasonable requests from the business within Production or related areas.
What your background should look like
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience setting and operating.
  • Proven experience with CNC sliding head lathes (Star, Citizen, etc).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in using a range of measurement equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all TE policies and procedures, including EHS and safety-first practices, while delivering exceptional ECE.
  • Promote and embody company values and key behaviours in all actions.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure exemplary work standards with minimal defects.
  • Organized and self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.
