Overview

Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for CNC Machine Operator for a company based in the Knowsley area.

The position is a permanent contract for suitable candidates.

Working hours

• Monday – Thursday 8am - 5pm
• Friday 8am – 4pm
• 1 hour lunch break (unpaid)

Salary

• £15.11 per hour
• Overtime available once settled
• 1.5x overtime when working over 40 hours per week
• 1.5x overtime if working on Saturday
• 2x overtime if working on Sunday (rare)

Role and responsibilities

The workers will primarily be using Megaplot Fastwire Cutters programming with FoamCad. They will also be occasionally using AXYZ 4010 ATC 3 axis flat bed CNC programming with VCarve.

Experience and qualifications

Experience on specific machines is not required as training will be provided, but experience on CNC machining and CAD/CAM is preferred.

Physical requirements

Ideal candidate must be physically fit as they will be loading slabs into a fastwire machine weighing 20kg each.
