Overview

A fantastic Hotel Cluster Financial Controller job in Harrow, paying a salary of up to £55,000 has become available. You will be based in the company’s head office, situated in Harrow. However, the two hotels you will have responsibility for are in Nottingham and Southampton.

Role Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting: Daily Cashflow reporting and forecasting for the group of properties. Prepare, review, and analyse monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including revenue, expenses, profit margins, and cash flow. Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and company financial policies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial forecasts to support business planning and decision-making. Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Cost Control & Efficiency: Monitor hotel expenditures, ensuring cost control measures are effectively implemented. Analyse operational costs and recommend improvements to enhance profitability. Work with hotel teams to optimize financial performance without compromising guest experience or service quality.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies. Support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance. Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a financial business partner to General Managers and operational teams. Provide financial training and guidance to hotel management teams. Liaise with corporate finance, legal, and HR teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
Candidate Criteria
  • Must have experience in a Finance/Accounts position specifically within a hotel.
  • Multi-site experience and experience within IHG Hotels are beneficial, but not a fixed requirement.
  • Professional accounting qualification is beneficial, but QBE can also be suitable.
