A tech consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and is proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform. You will collaborate on high-security projects in a dynamic environment, driving automation and optimising costs.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Overview

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Stoke on Trent (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across public and hybrid environments using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Utilise Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates to build and manage infrastructure.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and security; assist with incident response and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to create reusable templates, drive automation, and support cost optimisation.
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP); the client is flexible around AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling: Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Linux/Unix or Windows server administration in a cloud or virtualised environment; basic networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, VPNs) in a cloud context.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Scripting languages for automation: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, or similar.
