A government agency in England seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant to ensure smooth operations at community corrections offices. Ideal candidates should possess clerical skills and have a secondary school diploma. This role offers a salary between £50,190 and £56,546.
Description
The Delta / West Surrey and the Surrey East Community Corrections teams are both close-knit groups comprised of probation officers and administrative support staff all dedicated to making a significant impact in their community. These well-established teams work closely with community justice partners playing a key role in public safety. The teams support new program areas and stay at the forefront of developments in the justice field. The collaborative spirit and mutual support ensure they continue to lead in the justice community.
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in the smooth functioning of both the Delta / West Surrey and the Surrey East Community Corrections offices by providing reception services data entry and office support at both locations. As the first point of contact for many clients the Administrative Assistant sets a positive respectful tone and helps support the work of Probation Officers indirectly contributing to community safety. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment is flexible is keen to embrace technology and is eager to make a meaningful impact through leadership and innovation.
Secondary School graduation or equivalent (GED)
Minimum keyboard speed of 30 words per minute.
A valid Class 5 B.C. drivers license without restrictions or an equivalent Canadian drivers license. A valid BC Class 7 may be considered.
This is a temporary opportunity until June 5th 2027. This position may be and lodging and relocation expenses do not apply.
This position has full-time on-site requirements.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary vacancies.
A Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) and Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
