A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Clinical Vascular Scientist in Coventry. The successful candidate will perform specialized diagnostic investigations and participate in research while training junior staff. Strong communication skills and clinical expertise are essential. University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Vascular Scientist to work independently performing, interpreting and reporting a range of highly specialised diagnostic investigations including Doppler blood flow analysis for Vascular Surgery and other specialties within the Trust and its associated sites.

The post holder will participate in research, trials and clinical audit. The role includes training junior staff and assisting with managerial duties directed by the head of department. The post holder will contribute towards departmental commitments for training external staff and will provide scientific, technical and clinical advice and service to other sites served by the department.
Responsibilities include planning own workload, organizing projects and prioritising requests; adapting schedules in response to urgent requests; and discussing highly complex aspects of patient treatment/outcome with medical staff, scientists, nurses and the head of department.
The department operates 7 days a week, with weekend shifts on a rotational basis among team members, and all employees are required to contribute to weekend coverage.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
