Portfolio Transformation Project Specialist

Our client is devoted to shaping the future of surgery by advancing innovation addressing the most pressing healthcare issues and improving lives every day. Our product portfolio includes energy devices, wound closure, endo‑mechanical, cardiothoracic, gynae, urology and thyroid and biosurgery surgical devices.

The Portfolio Transformation Project Specialist will be responsible for implementing the newer innovative versions of our client's surgical MedTech, supporting surgeons/clinicians on the use of our client's updated portfolio to be implemented across the trust.

Our client has a strong heritage of 135 years in innovation and they are continually updating their devices to newer forms which in turn have new codes for ordering; customers need to be updated about which product needs replacing and the value associated with the newer forms. Customers will also need to be trained in theatre on the new devices.

This role will be responsible for working within hospitals in the region ensuring customers are supported in product transition and product discontinuation. This is a critical role driving the evolution of our portfolios and shaping the future of J&J Medtech Surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers and hospital procurement teams during the product transition process.
  • Support clinical & non‑clinical teams with the transition to alternative devices or patient treatment options.
  • Ensure clinicians are fully trained and supported on the safe and effective use of alternative devices.
  • Work closely with the J&J Medtech Surgery Portfolio lead marketing sales and cross‑functional teams across J&J Medtech surgery.
  • Align activity against Portfolio Transformation Strategy and measure success during monthly business reviews utilising business tools such as One Force Power BI.
  • Utilise One Force to document all product transitions, product discontinuation activities, customer interactions and compliance records accurately.
  • Gather feedback from healthcare providers to improve future product lifecycle strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Business or related field; preferred.
  • Experience working in theatre/surgical setting.
  • Proven experience in medical device sales, account management or product lifecycle management within the Medtech industry; preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations and health care compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate to a range of stakeholders including clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical teams and marketing teams.
