Clinical Team Lead 0-5 ChatHealth Service

The primary role of the Clinical Team Lead is to provide expert leadership and management to the 0-5 ChatHealth Service in order to ensure that the quality of service delivery to children, young people, and their families is aligned with the commissioned requirements of the Healthy Child Programme 0-5yrs and the Trust vision and values. Working in partnership with internal and external colleagues and partners, the role also provides clinical expertise in direct service provision and both clinical and safeguarding supervision to staff within teams.

Main duties of the job

*This role will balance the management of ChatHealth and covering ChatHealth shifts as part of the rota

*The post holder will have clinical responsibility to ensure the service is covered at all times

*To lead, manage and supervise 0-5 ChatHealth Service, ensuring a safe and effective service using service user feedback to improve patient experience and monitoring quality, compliance, and performance reporting risks by exception

*A key function of the role is to lead local service transformation and integration with internal and external services.

*Management function to include a programme of management supervision; management 1:1's, appraisals, locality business meetings with sharing of information in line with corporate objectives and Children's Division business plans.

*Clinical function to include leading delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, clinical and safeguarding supervision and support to the team, and engagement in clinical service developments e.g. policy development, audit, training etc.

Job responsibilities

* To work with the Safeguarding Children's Team to ensure that the service delivered meets the requirements of the national and local safeguarding agenda, and to jointly agree and report on areas of risk.

* To support the implementation of the Sub-Division of Public Health business plan and Clinical strategy to ensure that developments within the services are consistent with national local and Trust strategy and objectives.

* Provision of a quality service to children, young people and their families including staff and service user engagement which shapes current and future service provision.

* To contribute to the development and implementation of the clinical governance agenda to support the quality and manage risk within the Sub-Division of Public Health.

* To ensure that the team work within Hampshire Safeguarding Children's Board policy and procedures, prioritising attendance at case conferences, reviews and planning meetings.

*To ensure the team are appropriately skilled and trained in order to deliver effective services.

*To provide effective leadership, management, and supervision to 0-5 ChatHealth Service which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team, in the achievement of the Division's objectives and Trust values.

*To anticipate, identify, and report workforce pressures and risks within the team and develop action plans to mitigate risk to service delivery.

*To utilise training, development, and the appraisal process to ensure all staff have access to appropriate learning opportunities and undertake statutory and mandatory training as required by the organisation.

*To manage performance, sickness, and attendance in accordance with Trust policies and guidelines, utilising E-rostering and working with HR to improve attendance and performance.

*To be responsible for recruiting and deploying staff in accordance with policy and workforce plans to meet service need.
