Clinical Support Worker, Willow C

Clinical Support Worker Band 3 37.5 hours

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team on Willow C. We are a medical cardiology ward caring for patients with a variety of medical and cardiac conditions. You will be welcomed into a friendly team with a variety of tasks and patients to fill your day.

• To assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care
• When trained and deemed competent undertake clinical activities, using appropriate equipment
• Maintain patients' privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
• Be an effective part of the multi‑disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives.
• Continue to develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to maintain high quality safe care.
• Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward / department duties as required, e.g. general tidiness, replenish stock and ensure clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
• Contributes to the work of the department by working under direct or indirect supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will work in support of the registered nursing team in providing the fundamentals of care for our patients. You will be expected to undertake the care certificate to enhance your knowledge and the care that you provide.

The role requires staff to work days, nights and weekends.

• Level 3 vocational qualification or short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties or equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3;
