Clinical Support Worker – 37.5 hours available Maternity Cover

We are seeking to recruit a Clinical Support Worker for Ward 3 at West Cumberland Hospital. We are looking for a caring, dedicated, innovative and motivated Clinical Support Worker to work as part of our dedicated multidisciplinary team. Ward 3 is a 16‑bed stroke rehab ward, where we work closely with an experienced and highly motivated multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

You must have a caring approach, be an excellent communicator and be capable of delivering high standards of patient care. Shift pattern: days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Person Specification – Qualifications

• Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent in a range of patient and clinical care duties, or equivalent knowledge and experience equivalent to Level 3 – theoretical knowledge, experience of a range of care and related procedures, clinical observations, data protection legislation, health and safety legislation
• National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
• Numeracy and Literacy Level 2
• Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers

• Working knowledge of legislation underpinning care provision
