Clinical Support Worker – Castle Ward, Newark Hospital

Castle Ward at Newark Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Worker to join our busy ward, which specialises in caring for elderly patients. The ward accommodates 18 patients across a mix of bays and side rooms, providing a supportive, patient‑centred environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support for complex discharges, helping patients return home with care packages or transition into 24‑hour care facilities.
  • Assist patients in regaining independence during rehabilitation.
  • Promote mental and physical wellbeing through engaging patient activities, encouraging independence wherever possible.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality care tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Willing and able to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. The Trust covers the initial cost; thereafter the amount is deducted from the first salary.
