Overview

As a Clinical Embryologist, youll play a vital role in all aspects of laboratory work, including oocyte collection, sperm preparation and freezing, insemination and ICSI, fertilisation and embryo assessment, embryo freezing and transfer, and oocyte cryopreservation all tailored to your level of training. If youre trained in biopsy, there are opportunities to get involved there too. You'll join a welcoming, forward-thinking team that values collaboration and actively encourages new ideas. This is a permanent, full time position based at Care Fertility Nottingham (John Webster House, 6 Lawrence Drive, Nottingham Business Park, Nottingham, NG8 6PZ). We may also consider part-time applications. The core working days are Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm (a shift pattern will be agreed) with weekend cover on a rota and bank holiday work included.

  • Carry out embryo freezing and transfer, and oocyte cryopreservation, tailored to training level,
  • If youre trained in biopsy, participate in biopsy activities as opportunities arise,
  • Contribute to refining and improving laboratory protocols in collaboration with the team,
  • Utilise cutting-edge technology and equipment provided by the organisation to support patient care.

Qualifications

You're a state-registered, ICSI-trained Clinical Embryologist who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and understands the vital role of the laboratory in the patient journey. Biopsy training is an advantage, but not essential. Above all, you bring professionalism, curiosity, and compassion to everything you do.
