Job summary

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the clinical team on the Preparation PIPE unit in HMP Long Lartin, Long Term High Security Estate. Applications are welcome from registered practitioners from a range of therapeutic backgrounds, i.e. psychologist, creative therapist, occupational therapist. The post holder will help in creating and maintaining a healthy psychosocial environment; ensuring that the unit adheres to the theoretical principles of the PIPE model.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic work with individuals on the PIPE unit.
  • Participate in all core components of the PIPE model, including referrals, assessments, group work, and management of group dynamics.
  • Provide staff supervision and training.
  • Contribute to research where appropriate.
  • Work as part of the Psychology team under the head of psychology, directly on the PIPE unit.
Qualifications
  • Qualified forensic or clinical psychologist with HCPC registration, or in the process of receiving HCPC registration (confirmation of registration must be provided within 6 months of provisional offer).
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Evidence of experience in providing clinical supervision.
  • Completed relevant training in effective treatment models and best practice.
  • Demonstrable commitment to the principles of the PIPE model.
