Job summary

A public health service provider in Croydon is looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to work within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will focus on neuropsychology, working with patients, families, and consulting with various sectors to provide comprehensive care. This part-time permanent role offers a salary ranging from £53,751 to £68,623 pro rata, including HCAS. Candidates with specific neuro services experience are particularly welcome.

Qualifications

  • Registered Clinical Psychologist with specialised knowledge in neurological conditions.
  • Experience working with neuro patients and relevant psychological assessments.
  • Interest in the QiCN and service development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a specialist Clinical Psychology service for community neuropsychology.
  • Meet with patients and families for assessment and care delivery.
  • Consult with MDT and external sectors for holistic patient care.

Job description

This is a broad and varied post which provides an excellent opportunity to develop not only specialist clinical skills but affords the opportunity to develop and strengthen a broader range of skills and experiences. You will be working with patients, families and carers within a specialised and experienced multidisciplinary team based at CNRT/CNRS.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated psychologist with experience of working in mental / physical health and an interest and experience in neuro services. The clinical psychologist is an important part of the MDT and will be expected to meet with patients and families and carers to assess, formulate and provide the delivery of care. Additionally, the role requires consultation and liaison with the MDT, statutory, voluntary and private sectors. The psychology service offers a range of therapeutic interventions for patients including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and family work. This is a comprehensive post and mental health, physical health and family work is covered within the role.

We are happy to support candidates on/interested in the QiCN and to provide supervision. There are also extensive opportunities for involvement in service development/research.

Provide a specialist Clinical Psychology service for Community Neuropsychology Rehabilitation Service (CNRS)/ Community Neuropsychology Rehabilitation Team (CNRT) face-to-face, in the community.

NB: Due to the p/t nature of the post and our desire for team unity and collaboration, remote opportunities and flexible working is not possible.
