A healthcare trust in the UK is seeking a newly qualified pharmacist to provide high-quality pharmaceutical services across various clinical specialties. The ideal candidate will be a GPhC registered pharmacist with excellent communication skills, capable of working in multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include contributing to ward commitments and gaining leadership experience through team coordination. This role offers the unique opportunity to improve patient care at a new acute hospital.

You will have a keenness to use clinical and professional knowledge, skills and experience toimprove patient care through the delivery of efficient medicines management services at the new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH).The role will allow you to gain the skills and experience to meet the requirements of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society FoundationFramework and will provide you with a e-portfolio of evidence for further career progression alongside our departmental Education and Training team.
The post holder will provide high quality pharmaceutical services to key areas on rotation as well as contributing to core ward commitments,including weekend and on call services.
There will also be opportunities to gain leadership skills by co-ordination of specific teams of the clinical pharmacy service, alongside participationin Trust projects and departmental governance objectives within set rotations.

Our new acute hospital, MMUH has now opened and will continue to provide care to our localpopulation from first class, purpose-built premises. As a result, the department now works across multiple sites where MMUH is the base of this role. If cross site if needed to complete a set rotation and this is applicable to your role, you will be informed during the recruitment process and continuing your application with this understanding.
The development of services within the new hospital now plays an important role in the regeneration of the wider area and in improving the lives of local people and reducing health inequalities.

Pharmacy is a progressive department, keen to embrace innovative ideas to better improve our clinical service model.Following significant investment for MMUH, our pharmacy department has led the innovations in Omnicell/automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs),AMis Smart carts and Bristol Maid keyless access lockers for patient medications which are in place across most acute areas of work - improvingdrug security and safe administration of drugs across the rest of the organisation.Robotic dispensing is well established, now including an out of hours on call shute and we have successfully implemented Electronic Prescribingand Administration throughout the Trust for a number of years now.
We are working towards innovative models of delivering clinical pharmacyservices as part of our 7 day working plans.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you must be able to manage your own workload, direct & supervise others and work as part of a team.
Post holder will be supported by the internal Education and Training team as well as accredited medicines management trained technicians todeliver these goals.
