Band 6 Clinical PACS Specialist Radiographer
We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Clinical PACS Specialist Radiographer to join our friendly team at the Great Western Hospital.
The Great Western Hospital are currently undergoing a PACS and RIS replacement project in their Radiology department and are looking to expand the clinical PACS team. This role remains a clinical Radiographer working on a rotational basis and will require participation in the out of hours and weekend rota.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Radiographer with NHS experience and a special interest in digital systems, looking to increase their knowledge and work with state-of-the-art equipment. This role currently includes a 5% recruitment and retention premium which is reviewed annually.
The Radiology Department undertakes approximately 251,300 examinations a year ranging over a variety of modalities. The successful applicant will be a keen team player who has image quality and patient care high on their agenda with a flexible approach to working hours. The department supports the development of your clinical skills and education, we encourage staff CPD.
The Great Western Hospital conducts diagnostic radiological examinations across a range of clinical specialties, adapting techniques to accommodate a range of patient types; both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal requirements.
To ensure the effective and efficient provision of Picture Archiving and Communication systems (PACS) and Radiology information systems (RIS), in the clinical setting of the Radiology Department. Working under the PACS Manager. To work with IT and administrative staff who ensure the delivery and quality of the system.
