Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic registered children's nurse to work within the Nottingham Children's Orthopedic team to assist with the orthopedic pre assessment clinics.

You will work closely with children, parents, anesthetist, surgeons and multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure every child is fully assessed, supported and ready for their surgical journey. You will be hospital based with a responsibility to see children in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Role and Team

You will be a clinical and professional role model with a passion for delivering high quality clinical care and the support and development of others. You will be an effective team player but also able to plan and organise your own workload, possess excellent communication skills, and an ability to teach families and health professionals. You will be working as part of a dynamic and forward thinking multi-professional team, offering key opportunities to develop your career as a nurse specialist within orthopedics.

The successful candidate will work as a specialist nurse within an established multi-professional team caring for children and young people with orthopedics conditions and following trauma.
