Overview

As part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, Evelina London is there for children, young people and women from London to South East England and provides specialist care for families around the UK and across the world.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist service for children and young people requiring continence and toileting support within the community.
  • Work alongside a lead specialist and demonstrate a high level of expertise within the Children’s Community Nursing service, providing specialist advice, education and support to health care professionals and patients.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practice, research and standards of care within the service, including development of policies, protocols and guidelines and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Act as a resource for expert advice for other healthcare professionals and must be competent to deliver health promotion and education to parents, their families and others.
  • Involve with nurse-led clinics, training, the delivery of health promotion and toileting advice, supporting children and young people with Complex Needs wherever possible to achieve their potential.
Qualifications
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist experience with complex needs continence and toileting support for children aged 2-5 years old.
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills with a desire to maintain and role model a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise within a multidisciplinary nursing team and provide specialist advice, education and support.
  • Competent to deliver health promotion and education to parents, their families and others.
