A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Cardiac Nurse Specialist to lead the delivery of cardiac rehabilitation services. The role involves delivering services in hospitals, community venues, and patients’ homes, along with managing a small team. We have an exciting opportunity within our Cardiac CNS team delivering nurse led services for patients with heart failure, arrhythmia and chest pain.
Applications are invited for experienced cardiac nurses to join our dynamic cardiac nurse specialist team. This post is an ideal opportunity for an experienced cardiac rehabilitation nurse specialist to lead the team in the delivery of the cardiac rehabilitation service at Maidstone Hospital.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the cardiac rehabilitation services, in the hospital, community venues and patients’ homes. Patients are referred from a variety of sources, but primarily from an acute inpatient episode or from a tertiary cardiac intervention centre. The post holder will also liaise with commissioners in order to develop the service in response to changes in contracts, and ensure that robust audit data standards are maintained.
The post holder will empower patients and their carers to participate in the management of their conditions, thus aiming to improve the longevity and quality of their lives.
The post holder will provide line management to a small team, 1 X BAND 6 Nurse and 1 x Exercise Physiologist.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date had been agreed. Following your corporate induction you will be expected toattend the Trust’s 2‑week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full‑time (please emailmtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.netif this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom‑based sessions and e‑learning.
