A healthcare organization in Tasmania is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant for Ward 4D, providing advanced nursing care and leadership in an acute medical unit. Ward 4D is an acute medical unit providing care for a wide variety of medical conditions, including cardiac, renal, respiratory, and neurological illnesses. The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.
Provide clinical nursing leadership within a contemporary acute care setting, delivering advanced nursing care within scope of practice.
In collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), undertake comprehensive nursing assessments, contribute to care planning, and coordinate the delivery of services for patients admitted to Ward 4D.
Foster effective relationships with service providers across the hospital and the broader community to enhance service quality and accessibility.
Actively integrate teaching, practice-based research, and quality improvement initiatives into daily practice to continually enhance standards of care.

Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 24 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
