An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join HEIW's dynamic multi-professional Simulation Team. As a Clinical Lead/Associate Dean for Simulation and Clinical Skills, you will have a crucial role in supporting the implementation of our All-Wales Simulation-Based Education and Training Strategy, which plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of healthcare education and training in Wales. We're looking for someone from any healthcare profession with expert knowledge of simulation, strong leadership and collaboration skills to join the team in supporting the delivery of high quality, interprofessional, equitably accessible simulation-based education and training across Wales.
Please note that the post is open to any healthcare profession and the application will be appointed on either the Consultant Scale (Trac ID: 7454988), GP Educator Scale GP01 (Trac ID: 7454994) or Agenda for Change Band 8a (Trac ID: 7453380). The role of the Clinical Lead/Associate Dean for Simulation and Clinical Skills is to lead the delivery and implementation of HEIW's All-Wales simulation-based education and training strategy for the healthcare workforce in Wales in collaboration with other members of the multi-professional Simulation Team. The post holder will support the delivery of high quality, interprofessional, equitably accessible simulation in Wales, ensuring that patients, service users and learners are the central focus of all simulation activity. This includes extensive engagement with key stakeholders across the healthcare workforce in Wales to establish mechanisms for embedding standards, sharing best practice and simulation resources effectively to support cost-effective simulation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
