Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic ST3 LAS Doctor in Stroke Medicine to join our dynamic team at Yeovil District Hospital. This is a non-training post, ideal for doctors wishing to gain experience in stroke medicine and prepare for MRCP or specialty training in the UK.

Main duties of the job

Provide registrar-level medical input to the stroke ward, ensuring efficient assessment and management of patients.

Lead at least one full ward round weekly and participate in consultant-led rounds.

Supervise junior doctors and contribute to teaching of medical students and Foundation Doctors.

Participate in audits, research projects, and departmental clinical governance meetings.

Attend weekly postgraduate teaching sessions and multidisciplinary meetings.

Support outpatient stroke clinics for further learning opportunities.
