Description

Job Title : Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine

Location : Marie Curie Hospice Glasgow

Salary : NHS Specialty Registrar pay scale 45504 - 71550 per annum (dependent on experience pro rata for part-time) plus 50% on-call banding.

Hours : 24 hours per week and 1 in 5 on-call commitment.

Contract : Fixed Term until December 2026

Closing Date : October 2025

Interview Date : TBC

Start date : December 2025

This post offers the successful applicant a wide range of palliative medicine collaboration with medical colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team the post holder will play an important role in the delivery of medical care to inpatients. Depending on experience there will also be opportunities for the postholder to be involved in the delivery of community services (including out-patient clinics and domiciliary visits) and to gain experience in the duty doctor addition to clinical care provision will be made for supporting professional activities (SPA) to enable the post holder to participate in training and education activities relating to maintaining clinical excellence within the service and continued professional development.

What we are looking for :
  • Full GMC registration a licence to practice and at least 2 years of full-time postgraduate training preferably within the NHS
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Communication skills that are sensitive to patients and carers
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.
