Overview

An exciting opportunity has opened for an ambitious, dynamic and enthusiastic Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join the cardiovascular rehabilitation team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our dynamic and high performing multi-disciplinary cardiovascular rehabilitation service.

This multi-site service offers cardiovascular rehabilitation to the following groups of patients - STEMI, NSTEMI, Revasc, HFrEF, HFpEF and PAD across the patient recovery pathway.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Responsibilities
  • A skilled and knowledgeable practitioner in exercise science applied to a range of long-term conditions and morbidities including cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory and cancer.
  • Accountable for own actions in accordance with the REPS and NHS Code of conduct.
  • Assist in the management and day to day running of the community and hospital multi-morbidity rehabilitation programme.
  • Participate in the development of quality initiatives, including standards of the multi-morbidity rehabilitation programme, patient care, clinical audit, monitoring of service provision and clinical research.
  • Maintain and develop clinical expertise by attendance and participation in regular post-registration education as identified by PDP’s i.e. BACPR/BASES study days or conferences and in-service training, participating in mentorship and appraisal as required.
