Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Bradford is seeking a Clinical Engineering HCS Assistant to support the commissioning, maintenance, and repair of medical devices. The role requires experience in engineering, preferably within a clinical environment, and a level 3 engineering qualification. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, accuracy, and be able to handle clinical challenges. A driving license is essential as travel between hospitals is required. The position offers a salary between £27,485 and £30,162 annually.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within engineering is essential.
  • Clinical engineering experience is desirable.
  • A BTEC or level 3 qualification in engineering is required.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake duties in maintenance work as directed by Team Leaders.
  • Perform project work as directed by the Team Leaders.
  • Work within and assist in maintaining the quality system.

Skills

Experience of working in an engineering discipline
Experience within a Clinical Engineering environment
Highly developed physical accuracy and eye coordination
Ability to exercise own initiative
Able to concentrate under unpredictable patterns
Ability to deal with distressing circumstances

Education

Level 3 qualification, ie NVQ, BTEC
