Clinical Deputy Manager – Thatcham Court Care Home, Thatcham, RG18 4QL
Salary: Up to £53,393 per annum – depending on experience.
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week (Monday‑Friday). Occasional night visits or weekend work may be required.
Welcome bonus: £2,000*.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
- Co‑create and update individual care plans for residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up‑to‑date medication records.
- Maintain correct staffing levels through efficient rota management, ensuring adequate staffing at all times.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents’ independence, choice and dignity.
- Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of community within the home.
- Develop strong relationships with local partners, liaising with them to raise the care home’s profile locally and beyond.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, committed to the NMC Codes of Conduct and professional development.
- In-depth understanding of the benefits of high‑quality nursing care, championing independence, choice and dignity for residents.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning.
- Effective communicator, able to build honest relationships with residents and families.
- Natural leader, ready to share clinical experience, mentor the team, delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service.
- Excellent time‑management, prioritising workload efficiently.
- Respectful and compassionate team player, dedicated to delivering personal best.
