Working Hours and Sessions

Part‑time: Minimum of 4 sessions / 2 days per week. Full‑time roles are available, offered on a hybrid basis – combining on‑site and remote working. We’ll discuss the flexibility of working patterns and how the needs of the service can be met with any current arrangements you have.

  • Part‑time: Minimum of 4 sessions / 2 days per week.
  • Full‑time: Hybrid (onsite + remote). We’ll discuss flexibility that fits your arrangements.
  • Available Monday‑Friday: 07:30‑08:00 to 15:30‑16:00; additionally 14:00‑22:00.
  • Weekends: 08:30‑17:00. At least 1 of every 3 weekends, may be less depending on location.
  • Maximum 5 appointments per day.
Your Role

A Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services. You will provide education that promotes longer, healthier, happier lives for our customers, spending the majority of your time delivering therapeutic care and supporting patients daily.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence‑based intervention.
  • Offer different models of service delivery: face‑to‑face, telephone, or video consultations.
  • Adhere to Bupa’s case‑management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
  • Work within sessional limits based on the client’s Private Medical Insurance allowance.
  • Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
  • Offer ad‑hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
  • Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations.
  • Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
  • Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.
Qualifications
  • Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • General adult mental health experience.
  • At least 1 year’s post‑qualification clinical experience.
Desirable
  • Training and accreditation in specialized areas of psychological relevance.
  • Corporate experience.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • General adult mental health specialism experience.
  • Corporate experience and business understanding.
  • Up‑to‑date CPD.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems.

  • Experience managing own caseload and working towards individual targets and outcomes.
