A leading energy company is seeking a Climate Adaptation Manager to develop and oversee the climate adaptation strategy. The role involves coordinating with various business units and managing governance to ensure resilience against climate risks. Candidates should have proven experience in climate adaptation and environmental risk management, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, London, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £50,100- £75,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

While SSE is at the forefront of the clean energy transition, the latest science clearly shows that climate change is accelerating. As Climate Adaptation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring SSE is sufficiently prepared and resilient to a climate-changed world.
Reporting directly to SSE's Head of Climate, you will lead the development of SSE's group strategy for Climate Adaptation and embed a framework to oversee business unit climate resilience strategies and adaptation plans.
This exciting role focused on climate risk, resilience and adaptation will ensure SSE's assets and operations are resilient to the impacts of climate change.
