BBC Apprenticeship Scheme (Production Assistant)

We offer a fixed‑term apprenticeship lasting 13 months. You will be based in Norwich at the Forum and earn a salary of £22,950.

What you’ll be doing

You will learn on‑the‑job, developing your knowledge and skills in production. You may work behind the scenes on a range of projects – from gripping dramas to live radio – while gaining a recognised qualification with our learning provider.

Eligibility criteria
  • Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
  • Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
  • Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme
  • For candidates under the age of 19 on 8 September 2026: have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or higher (or equivalent)
Additional information

Relocation support is offered to a limited number of apprentices each year, subject to qualifying criteria. You must live within a commutable distance of the base location.
