  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

Square Mile Connections is pleased to partner with a respected non‑banking financial organisation based in the heart of London, seeking to appoint a dedicated Client Accountant on a permanent basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid background in client accounting and strong working knowledge of Structured Finance & SPVs to join a reputable firm that values expertise, integrity, and professional development. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all activities, and supporting the organisation's commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing and overseeing client accounting records for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and client requirements.
  • Coordinating with auditors and ensuring all compliance obligations are met within set deadlines.
  • Assisting in the internal processes related to reporting and financial analysis for the client portfolio.
  • Maintaining strong communication channels with clients, providing support and clarification regarding their accounts.
  • Ensuring all transactions and account activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Supporting month‑end and year‑end closing processes, providing detailed reconciliations and reports.
Skills & Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant with proven experience in client accounting.
  • Working knowledge of Capital Markets / Structured Finance.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS & UK GAAP.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Detail‑oriented, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
