Job description

LOCATION: BABCOCK, Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth, PL1 4SG

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 ON 4 OFF SHIFT PATTERN, 15:00 – 23:00, 30 hours per week

PAY RATE: £13.60 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

ABM is looking for a hardworking and proactive cleaner to join our team in Devonport Dockyard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Cleaning Team Lead you will be responsible for leading a small team, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard, and directing the team to meet service levels. You must be proactive, problem‑solve, and have good attention to detail. Reliability and flexibility to the needs of the business are essential. You will work closely with the client, providing excellent customer service to the client and associated representatives.

Your duties will involve general cleaning of office and welfare areas. You will be working inside for the majority of the time, and walking from building to building will be required. You will maintain a clean and safe environment and perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, cleaning washrooms and kitchen areas, litter picking, and waste removal. You will work with other ABM team members. Training and full uniform will be provided. You will be required to wear your uniform and appropriate PPE at all times, following ABM and client safety directions/operational requirements.

The hours and shifts are 30 hours over a 4‑day shift pattern, working on a 4 on 4 off rotation. You will be entitled to a 30‑minute unpaid break. Working hours will be 15:00 – 23:00.

  • Full driving licence desirable.
