Job description

We are currently recruiting Cleaning Operatives for one of our long-standing clients based just outside Bedford.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly team and help maintain high standards of housekeeping across a large, busy site.

Shifts & Pay:

• Shift: 06:00 - 17:30, 4 days on / 4 days off

• Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Candidates must be reliable and have good customer service and communication skills, as this is a public-facing role. The site is large, so you will need to be comfortable being on your feet for the full shift, with some manual handling or occasional lifting of up to 20 kg.

Responsibilities of the Cleaning Operative:

• Carry out general cleaning duties including hoovering, mopping, sanitising, litter picking, and spot cleaning

• Clean all public and back-of-house areas such as bathrooms, canteens, showrooms, and offices

• Work with the wider site team to maintain high standards, reporting hazards or health and safety concerns to site management

• Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude

• Work independently when required and take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards

Requirements:

• Own transport or ability to reliably travel to location

• Previous cleaning experience and basic knowledge of on-site health and safety (preferred)

• Able to commit to the shift pattern and maintain good attendance
