An educational institution in Rotherham is seeking a part-time Cleaner to maintain cleanliness across the college. The successful candidate will perform various cleaning tasks, ensuring the environment is welcoming for students and staff. Applicants should have reasonable cleaning experience, ideally in an office context, and be willing to work towards required qualifications. Hours: Part time (2 x 15 hours per week, all year round). Duration: Permanent. Salary: £12.70 per hour. Location: Rotherham College, Rotherham.
The successful candidate will undertake general cleaning duties in allocated areas of the college providing a clean, welcoming safe environment for our learners, employees and visitors.
Employment will be through Rotherham Education Services.
15 hours (05:30am – 08:30am, Monday – Friday).
General cleaning operations (inside and outside), multi-surface cleaning, use of cleaning machines as trained and directed, ensuring buildings ready for use each day whilst incorporating safe usage of cleaning products and equipment, actively informing the wider Estates Team of any faults which could pose an issue for health and safety in order to ensure that these are reported and resolved. Seasonal/ ad-hoc undertaking of deep clean processes/sanitising duties as directed, all cleaning products/materials utilised in accordance with training and instruction. Outside duties will include sweeping, litter picking and generally keeping the outside area clean and tidy.
Need reasonable cleaning experience, ideally in an office environment and this will need to include using a range of cleaner equipment and substances. You must hold or be willing to work towards L2 English and Maths (GCSE A-C / 4-9 or equivalent) and Emergency First Aid at Work. You’ll be highly flexible and able to respond to quick changes in demands upon you including responding to urgent jobs and supporting colleagues across the Estates / Facilities team.
